Component price tracker
Last updated
Prices tracked daily since the site launched (21 Oct 2026), cheapest in-stock price at major Australian stores, including GST. Each point is a price we actually read on a store's page that morning. Days we have no reading for are left blank, never filled in.
Graphics cards · Processors · DDR5 memory
Trend compares the latest price with the latest one we recorded 7 to 14 days earlier: up 3% or more is Rising, down 3% or more is Falling, anything in between is Steady.
Graphics cards
The graphics card is the biggest single cost in a gaming PC and the part that decides how well games run. These are the cards that keep showing up in our builds.

The cheapest in-stock RTX 5080 rose from $2,399 to $2,799 over the period. The $2,399 Palit card at Scorptec sold out on 4 Nov, which is why our $5,000 pick moved to an RTX 5070 Ti that day.
The RTX 5070 Ti went from $1,699 to $1,849 and the RX 9070 XT from $1,169 to $1,279. The RX 9070 went the other way: PLE has had a Gigabyte card at $999 (limit one per customer) since 3 Nov, down from $1,099 elsewhere. The Arc B580 has sat at $419 since 23 Oct.
Processors
Processors move less than graphics cards, but the gaming chips with extra cache (the X3D models) swing between stores.

DDR5 memory
32GB of DDR5-6000 in two 16GB sticks is the usual memory for a current AMD gaming build. We track mainstream brands only and leave out lesser-known ones such as KingBank, which can be cheaper.

What we don't chart yet
- RTX 5090: No in-stock price recorded: no build or check used one.
- RTX 5070: Only seen in passing on a few days (one in-stock price in the build files), not enough for a chart.
- RTX 5060: Patchy: checked at different stores on different days, so day-to-day moves would reflect coverage, not price.
How the numbers are collected
Every morning (Perth time) we read the public product pages at Scorptec, PC Case Gear, Umart, PLE and Mwave, and the parts in our build-it-yourself lists at stores such as Computer Alliance. A part counts only if the store says it is in stock. Prices are in Australian dollars, including GST, before shipping. A move in a chart can come from a price change or from the cheapest store selling out; the store column shows which.
